Abstract:In this paper, we examine performance of a multi-stage parallel interference cancellation (PIC) receiver using a generalized soft limiter. The generalized soft limiter (GSL) improves the accuracy of the reconstructed interference signals by making hard decisions on "reliable" signals and partial soft decisions on "unreliable" signals. The system performance degradation caused by imperfect amplitude estimation and nearfar effects is also analyzed in the paper. It is also shown that GSL-PIC can achieve comparabl… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
