Improved determination of the mass of the1+light hybrid meson from QCD sum rules

Abstract: We calculate the next-to-leading order (NLO) αs-corrections to the contributions of the condensates αG 2 and qq 2 in the current-current correlator of the hybrid current gq(x)γνiF a µν T a q(x) using the external field method in Feynman gauge. After incorporating these NLO contributions into the Laplace sum-rules, the mass of the J P C =1 −+ light hybrid meson is recalculated using the QCD sum rule approach. We find that the sum rules exhibit enhanced stability when the NLO αs-corrections are included in the s… Show more

“…With the small g 3 G 3 value used in [23,24], the range is 1.55-2.29 GeV, which is consistent with previous predictions within errors and covers π 1 (1600). In the large g 3 G 3 case, the predicted range is 1.84-2.46 GeV.…”

“…We choose this set of values to avoid subjective factors in choosing the inputs. We also notice that the value of g 3 G 3 in [46] is different from the previous one used in [23][24][25]. This value changes from 1.2 GeV 2 α s G 2 (from dilute gas instantons [47] and lattice calculations [48]) to 8.2 GeV 2 α s G 2 (from charmonium systems [44,45]), which largely affects the mass predictions.…”

“…The hybrid meson mass from the constituent glue model is 2 GeV [7] while the value from the flux tube model is around 1.9 GeV [8,9]. The prediction from the QCD sum rule approach is around 1.6 GeV [10,11]. However, Yang obtained a surprisingly low mass around 1.26 GeV for the 1 −+ hybrid meson using QCD sum rule [12].…”
