As a promising architecture of next‐generation network, software defined‐information centric network (SD‐ICN) inherits the advantages of software defined network (SDN) and information‐centric network (ICN) to enable flexible and fast content retrieval, especially in the current era of artificial intelligence. However, the existing researches mainly focus on a single respective in this field, which motivates in comprehensively providing a forward‐looking guidance and development direction for scholars and engineers. To this end, the latest developments of SD‐ICN is presented. First, the widely‐accepted concepts and impacts on traditional networks are introduced. Second, the shortcomings of SDN and ICN over conventional networks are respectively analyzed to illustrate the necessity of SD‐ICN. Third, based on extensive analysis and deep deliberation, a methodical taxonomy for existing combination studies is proposed. They are divided into SDN over ICN, ICN over SDN, and mutual immersive pattern. Fourth, the performances of three integration categories are compared and the limitations of related works are highlighted. Fifth, the maturity index from six development indicators are evaluated. Further, the maturity and practicality of these schemes are generalized. Based on the above studies and comparisons, the lessons learned by SDN and ICN developments are concluded. Finally, future research directions and opportunities are discussed for the readers.

Reduction of the outgoing traffic is becoming an important issue, which is proposed to be reduced by a futuristic Content Delivery System (fCDN) for Mobile Operators. The proposed system utilizes the idea Device-to-Device Communication (D2D), with a dynamic resource allocation support of SDN-NFV based systems and the locating of a content. The approach is to use the content of a node as close as possible to a mobile user, which may reduce the cost of communication, and power consumption while increasing the Quality of Experience. While the energy consumption can be reduced by proposed model upto 8 fold according to the current state of the art, enabling the users to use 5G based systems, it reduces the energy consumption by a factor of 50 fold in the proposed solution. The simulation results demonstrate that the use of proposed method outperforms the current state of the art systems in power consumption.

New era is the age of 5G. The network has moved from the simple internet connection towards advanced LTE connections and transmission. The information and communication technology has reshaped telecommunication. For this, among many types of big data, Medical Big Data is one of the most sensitive forms of data. Wavelet is a technical tool to reduce the size of this data to make it available for the user for more time. It is also responsible for low latency and high speed data transmission over the network. The key concern is the Medical Big Data should be accurate and reliable enough so that the recommended treatment should be the concerned one. This paper proposed the scheme to support the concept of data availability without losing crucial information, via Wavelet the Medical Data compression and through SDN supportive architecture by making data availability over the wireless network. Such scheme is in favor of the efficient use of technology for the benefit of human beings in the support of medical treatments.
