This article presents a review of the major academic and professional databases (online files) for searching topics in the field of business and management. I argue that professionals are well served in using a multidatabase strategy when comprehensive reviews of the literature are needed (Piotrowski & Perdue, 1986, 1988, 2003. To this end, several key databases across major disciplines are noted. Moreover, a list of online databases in the field of business and management are presented. I illustrate, with search examples, the benefit of implementing a multidatabase search strategy on select topics in psychology and management.
THE PSYCHOLOGIST-MANAGER IN THE INFORMATION AGEThe psychologist-manager wears many hats-executive, manager, expert, psychologist, consultant-but individuals who rely on the psychologist-manager for professional advice usually view the psychologist-manager as a professional expert.
