Importance Measure Analysis Method for Maintenance based on Mutil-Function Testability States

Abstract: Maintenance order plays an important role in industrial field, which influences multiple factors such as costs. Current method is based on importance measure using the fault tree analysis. Simply based on the fault tree of the failure condition, such method ignore some vital information hidden in other testability states, and may results in unsuitable maintenance order. This paper puts forward a novel method to evaluate importance measure based on multi-function testability states, which can be used to optimiz… Show more

“…To effectively improve product performance, Sun et al 4 proposed an error importance measure (EIM) method to quantify the relative contribution of error sources to the Taguchi quality loss that is caused by the quality characteristic deviations. Cao et al 5 proposed an importance measure evaluation method based on multifunctional testability state under the two-state hypothesis to optimize the maintenance order. However, with the passing of time, the research focus of importance measure has gradually shifted from two-state system to multi-state system.…”

“…Based on the hypothesis of binary-state, Lyu and Si 6 proposed the importance measure of the system under repeated random loads and carried out a reliability analysis of the system by using the order statistics theory. Cao et al 7 put forward an importance measure evaluation method based on a multifunction testability state under the hypothesis of binary-state to optimize maintenance order. The above studies ignore the diversity of system states.…”
