Implications of LHC searches on SUSY particle spectra

Abstract: Abstract. We study the implications of LHC searches on SUSY particle spectra using flat scans of the 19-parameter pMSSM phase space. We apply constraints from flavour physics, gµ − 2, dark matter and earlier LEP and Tevatron searches. The sensitivity of the LHC SUSY searches with jets, leptons and missing energy is assessed by reproducing with fast simulation the recent CMS analyses after validation on benchmark points. We present results in terms of the fraction of pMSSM points compatible with all the constra… Show more

“…As explained above, this is mainly a consequence of the flavour observables ∆ 0− , A F B (B → K * µ + µ − ), and the g − 2 constraint, which play a dominant role in driving the profile likelihood results when relaxing the Planck constraint on the neutralino relic density. 7 Similar patterns can be observed for spin-dependent neutralino-proton and neutralinoneutron scattering (central and right-hand panels). The narrow region at low mχ0 plane for all three analyses, and also shows up in the mχ0…”

“…The pMSSM has been studied in the past using random scans [6][7][8], as well as Bayesian methods [9][10][11][12]. Both approaches have limitations.…”

“…To further illustrate the latter feature we display in the left panel of figure 2 the maximal value for the h → γγ decay width normalised to its SM value, that can be obtained for fixed mτ 1 . In order to arrive at the plot we have used the results from a general 19 parameter scan in the phenomenological MSSM, as described in [84,85]. The fast decoupling of the stau corrections in Γ(h → γγ) is evident from the figure.…”

“…We perform flat random scans on the standard parameters, similarly to [7][8][9]. The phases however are very severely constrained by the electric dipole moment (EDM) measurements given in Tab.…”
