Implications of FCB Case

Abstract: The FCB case is an unique ATM hacking incident that was successfully solved by Taiwanese law enforcement, while hundreds of similar cases occurred internationally and unsolved. These ATM hackings share very similar modus operandi, and thus the FCB case offers many generalizable implications in practice and theory. This chapter concludes with discussing development of similar cybercrime likely to occur in the COVID-19 and post-pandemic time.
