The advent of Construction 4.0 has played a major role in construction industry development through the improvement of quality performance. One of the parameters that have contributed immensely to the management of construction quality in the industrial revolution era is Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Lean thinking concepts. Lean construction is characterized by a set of clear objectives in project delivery involving the concurrent design of products and processes. The study aims to carry out an exploratory study of the application of Construction 4.0 and Industrial 4.0 in quality management of building works and the development of Lean-based quality management models: The study engaged a survey design approach, and a random sampling technique was used to select the study samples. A structured questionnaire designed on a Likert scale 1–5 was used to collate data on the quality aspect of a construction project, and the data were used in model creation. The parameters that emerged are cast as the quality management model. The resultant factors were categorized into three (3) quality categories, which are the Zero level Defect range, Medium Quality, and High-Level Quality Range. The three (3) quality factors were recommended for adoption for quality management of residential building projects.

Top management obligation towards quality management is seen as one of the key factors in deciding its success. The local construction industry of Pakistan is far away from construction quality principles. In connection to this, the current study attempts to indicate the significance of quality management of Pakistani construction industry from the perspective of top management engagement. The constructs were extracted from published literature based on top management engagement and investigated the top management's engagement towards quality administration in the construction industry. Survey questionnaires were distributed among senior management from the construction organizations registered with Pakistan Engineering Counsel. From the results, it is demonstrated that top management is willing to adopt most of the constructs however, it is astonishing that the interest to incorporate quality management in cost and time perspectives is still lacking. Hence, the areas of quality are still a secondary consideration for most of the top management. Therefore, it is the need of hour that this attitude must be expanded to a more agreeable level.

The study aims to evaluate the effect of essential service quality on Junior Non-Commissioned Officers’ satisfaction and morale in Navy Town, Lagos, to suggest measures of improvement. The study covers junior non-commissioned officers Quarters of Navy Town, Lagos. A quantitative method was adopted for this study. The population size in this study comprises about 1,000 apartments and the sample size is 400. The respondents were selected by the systematic sample method. The study employed a questionnaire as an instrument for the data collection. Data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation). A total number of 372 questionnaires were retrieved from the respondents and 365 were used in the analyses after data screening. Bureaucracy and under-costing mostly influence the quality of essential service, with a delivery method such as contract contributing less. It is also recommended that Barrack Maintenance Unit (BMU) as well as the Nigerian Naval Headquarters should incorporate policies that would encourage the efficient use of services provided as it will help to increase the life span of the facilities. The barrack maintenance and services provided be carried out through direct labour to ensure effectiveness. The above recommendations are hopefully expected to reverse the current trend of junior non-commissioned officers’ satisfaction, consequently improve to better sustainable improvement on barrack accommodation and facilities.
