The curriculum of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) has become a significant milestone in the transformation of the higher education system in Indonesia, prompting the need for comprehensive changes to ensure the quality and relevance of education. Approaches such as critical sociology, creativity, and mindset in learning are considered effective ways to enrich students' learning experiences and prepare them for the challenges of the future. This research aims to identify the potential, challenges, and strategies in integrating critical sociology, creativity, and mindset approaches in learning within the Merdeka Belajar curriculum at the Universitas Sumatera Barat (Unisbar). The research method employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings of this research indicate that the integration of critical sociology, creativity, and mindset approaches in learning within this curriculum faces several challenges, such as limited understanding of these concepts, resource constraints, and resistance to change. However, with the adoption of appropriate strategies, such as training, mentoring, and the development of innovative learning models, the integration of these approaches can be successfully implemented and have a positive impact on students' learning experiences.

Gotong royong is a significant character for Indonesian generation Z (Gen-Z), based on traditional values, to unite this multicultural nation. However, the rapid development of digital media has the potential to alter traditional values. Gen-Z has the ability to quickly adapt to this technology. However, there is a concern that the gotong royong character may decline with the rise of digital media. This research investigates the perception of Gen-Z towards the gotong royong character and explores the way to preserve this value. This is qualitative descriptive research, whose population is made up of 108 students from six excellent schools in three Indonesian cities with different religious backgrounds and educational systems. The results show that Gen-Z still considers the gotong royong value is important. However, they also acknowledge that it can be threatened by the advancement of digital technology. With this awareness, Gen-Z can explore ways to adopt digital technology to preserve this character value, such as utilizing digital learning in club study and digital fundraising. This research recommends optimizing the school institution to take a more active role in fostering character through online character-building learning.

This article describes conservation and cultural perspectives from various disciplines based on research from various disciplines. The description is categorized into three parts; conservation and culture of applied science and health, conservation and culture of social science and humanity, conservation and culture of business and entrepreneurship. Natural sciences, health, social humanities, business, and entrepreneurship have all contributed to the conservation of natural resources and the environment, according to the results of journal article searches. Conservation in applied science promotes environmental, water, agricultural, biodiversity, and wildlife conservation, as well as land preservation and building reuse. Conservation can be accomplished through management and strategies derived from indigenous peoples' traditions with implications for nature conservation. The use of environmentally friendly health infrastructure is part of conservation in the health sector. Conservation is the study of the relationship between human interaction and the environment in a society in order to achieve a better life in the field of social sciences and humanities. Conservation strategy, policy, and education are important studies on conservation issues in the social sciences and humanities. Furthermore, conservation strategies are critical for identifying efficiency and conservation in support of development integration and disaster mitigation. Conservation and local wisdom-based education is a learning process that aims to raise environmental and cultural awareness and concern. In particular, conservation and local wisdom-based entrepreneurship education is a promising topic to be studied and researched further to generate various businesses that support environmental and cultural preservation.
