Implementing and developing secure low-cost long-range system using speech signal processing

Abstract: In the proposed work, we present a secure low-cost speech communication system for long-distance communication. The system utilizes long range (LoRa) technology to transmit speech signals. LoRa technology uses spread-spectrum modulation to enable long-range communication with low power consumption. LoRa modulation allows for data transfer at a slow speed, typically below 22 kbps, which makes it infeasible for transmitting speech. To address this limitation, we suggest a speech coding technique that reduces the… Show more

“…Cryptography involves two primary processes: encryption and decryption. Encryption is the process of converting plaintext into ciphertext, while decryption is the opposite process of converting ciphertext back to plaintext [14], [15], [17]. To decrypt the message and access the original content, a secret key or password is required.…”

“…However, there are several restrictions on LoRa's data transfer rate. LoRa's bit rate is lower than Wi-Fi's, which ranges from 20 to 30 Kbps [28]. Table 1 compares the most common communication protocols in use today.…”
