Background: Trauma is one of the leading causes of mortality across the world. Trauma patients had critical status and need timely, adequate and organized care. The different consequences of trauma care among service centers around the world and even within a country reveal the need for care assessment. This study was designed and executed to collect experts’ opinion on the evaluation of trauma care in Iran. Methods: This qualitative study with conventional content analysis approach, two focus group discussions with 12 participants and 16 face-to-face in-depth interviews were conducted to collect the required data. Participants were selected through purposive sampling method. The experts’ viewpoints were classified in accordance with the main and sub themes. Results: Four basic themes extracted from the interviews and focus group discussion including, trauma care importance (sub-themes: the involved Individuals’ being young and productive and the effectiveness of trauma care); trauma care indicators (sub-themes: pre-hospital indicators, in-hospital indicators and post-hospital indicators); stages of trauma care evaluation (sub-themes: evaluation prerequisites, finalization of indicators prior to evaluation, determining evaluation time scope, determining evaluation dimensions, monitoring and evaluation and use of evaluation results); trauma care promotion (sub-themes: balancing workload in trauma centers, enhancement of information system, considering extra-organizational dimensions in trauma care and empowerment of trauma care providers). Conclusion: Performance evaluation through acceptable indicators is basis of health care improvement. In addition to the evaluation, reforming macro policies, development of infrastructures, enhancement of information system and training care providers should be taken into account too. This paper explores the workflow and use of an interactive medical checklist for trauma resuscitation—an emerging technology developed for trauma team leaders to support decision making and task coordination among team members. We used a technology probe approach and ethnographic methods, including video review, interviews, and content analysis of checklist logs, to examine how team leaders use the checklist probe during live resuscitations. We found that team leaders of various experience levels use the technology differently. Some leaders frequently glance at the checklist and take notes during task performance, while others place the checklist on a stand and only interact with the checklist when checking items. We compared checklist timestamps to task activities and found that most items are checked off after tasks are performed. We conclude by discussing design implications and new design opportunities for a future dynamic, adaptive checklist.

Мета роботи: провести оцінку лікувальної ефективності та можливості застосування ендовідеохірургічних втручань у хворих із травмою грудної клітки, черевної порожнини, поєднаної з пошкодженням головного мозку. Матеріали і методи. Хворі з поєднаною травмою були розподілені на 4 підгрупи: Іа (n = 31) та ІІа (n = 40) -постраждалі, у діагностиці та лікуванні яких використані ендовідеохірургічні втручання: лапароскопія та відеоторакоскопія. Іб (n = 43) та ІІб (n = 39) підгрупи склали постраждалі, для надання допомоги яким застосовували традиційну діагностично-лікувальну тактику. Результати досліджень та їх обговорення. У хворих Іа підгрупи свідомість відновлювалась швидше -(14,1±0,5) бала за шкалою ком Глазго на 7 добу, порівняно з (12,9±0,8) бала у постраждалих Іб підгрупи, аналогічна картина була в цей період у хворих ІІа підгрупи (13,8±0,3) бала порівняно з ІIб підгрупою (12,4±0,9) бала. У Іа підгрупі травматична хвороба також мала більш сприятливий перебіг та характеризувалася нижчими показниками тяжкості загального стану за шкалою MODS, по-чинаючи з 3 доби, коли цей показник становив (3,08±0,75) бала порівняно з аналогічним індексом у травмованих Іб підгрупи -4,38±1,26. Подібну картину спостерігали і серед постраждалих ІІа підгрупи (0,98±0,25) бала порівняно з аналогічними індексом у травмованих ІІб підгрупи -2,78±0,54. Використання ендовідеохірургічних технологій дозволило покращити результати лікування та скоротити кількість ускладнень без негативного впливу на розвиток патологічного стану у хворих з легкою та середньотяжкою ЧМТ.Ключові слова: відеолапароскопія; відеоторакоскопія; поєднана травма; краніоабдомінальна травма; краніоторакальна травма.
