Implementation of Lean Manufacturing to improve productivity in MYPES of the Graphic sector – Lima 2020

Abstract

The thesis entitled "Lean Manufacturing Methodology to improve productivity in the company Gráfica Fénix S.R.L., Lima 2020" aims at determining to what extent the Lean Manufacturing methodology improves the productivity of Gráfica Fénix S.R.L. The study was carried out under a quantitative approach, with an applied experimental research design, of a preexperimental type, since it explores the application or use of acquired knowledge. The technique used was observation and the instrument was an observation form. Likewise, the objectives were met by reducing the time of activities that did not add value, applying the 5S tool and improving the plant's layout. It was observed that activities initially took 38 minutes and after applying the methodology they took 20 minutes. Regarding the productivity results, it was observed that the average pre-application productivity was 0.55 and the post-application productivity was 0.82, which means a 27% productivity increase.
