<span>This research analyzed the quality of National Examination questions on Natural science subjects in elementary schools. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. Response data were obtained from 250 grade VI elementary school students who responded on the tryout questions. This study was a descriptive study with a quantitative approach to describe the quality of the elementary school science test try-out items. The quality of this question is described quantitatively which includes an index of difficulty level and discriminatory power of questions. The data was collected using a test technique using a test instrument consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions. The analysis was carried out using the BILOG-MG version 4 application to obtain the parameters of distinguishing power and grain difficulty level. Based on the model fit analysis, it was found that the most appropriate model to use for the analysis of the science tryout questions for elementary schools was item response theory (IRT) with the 2PL model. The study concluded that the National Examination questions on science subjects in elementary schools had met the criteria for the level of difficulty and distinguishing power so that they could be said to be in a good category.</span>

Purpose of the study: Motivation to learn to read the Qur'an is a driving force that arises both from outside and from within a person or student who encourages them to carry out noble worship activities whose rewards are multiplied by Allah if they read them seriously and play an important role in giving enthusiasm , enthusiasm and pleasure in learning to read the Koran. The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation to learn to read the Qur'an of students at Public Elementary School 015 Tembilahan Hulu, indicators of learning motivation. Methodology: This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. The population in this study were 13 grade IV students and 28 grade V students at Public Elementary School 015 Tembilahan Hulu. Data in this study were collected using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, the collected data was analyzed using the percentage formula. Main Findings: The research shows that: students of grades IV and V at 015 Tembilahan Hulu Public Elementary School are very good at learning to read the Koran. All learning activities to read the Qur'an are carried out, but not optimal or perfect. The indicator of learning motivation is taken from the operational concept. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study is to look at students' motivation to learn to read the Koran at SD 015 Tembilahan Ulu.

Research is an important activity that must be carried out bya teacher as part of competency development that supportsteaching. The ability of teachers to conduct research variesand not all teachers know, understand and are able to carryout research. This training aims to provide an overview ofthe importance of research and how to implement it. Thistraining is carried out directly using the method of exposureto material and practice. The training participants consistedof 22 principals, vice principals and teachers. trainingactivities include three stages, namely pre-implementation,implementation and evaluation. The results of the trainingfound four important points. First, almost all teachers do notknow and understand how to do research. Second, teachershave so far focused on the field of teaching. Third, teachershave never received training on research. Fourth, mostteachers have never done research. The results of thesefindings are very important to be used as evaluation materialin improving teacher competence in the future. The teacher'shabit of doing research is very supportive in learning such asfinding new strategies that are suitable for application orproviding new material that is relevant to the subject.
