Since the end of 2019, the world has been reeling with the COVID-19 pandemic. The drastic and dramatic spread has affected human lives and livelihoods as well as businesses across the world. Organizations across the world are uniting and coming forward to minimize the seriousness of healthcare. The survival of the human community should be the top priority during this time. To control spread, respective higher authorities impose restrictions on public gatherings, with strict action taken against those who exceed the maximum allowed people in public gatherings. Our IOT-based project aims to limit the number of people entering the academic blocks during COVID-19 in order to monitor overcrowding in these buildings. Our electrical circuit or device will monitor the number of people entering the academic blocks, and once the maximum allowed number of people is reached, the next person will not be allowed to enter the building, and the electrical circuit will ring a siren. This will also ensure that social distancing is maintained. Our project is based on Arduino. Several electrical components, such as an Arduino Uno, a prototype, a breadboard, a piezo-buzzer, ultraviolet sensors, and jumper wires, were used. Software simulations were carried out in the well-known online electrical circuit compiler, Tinkercad. A hardware simulation of our project was also made.

This research paper explores the effectiveness of quick response (QR) code-based attendance systems with the added security measure of generating two QR codes per second. With traditional attendance tracking methods being time-consuming and inefficient, QR codes have become increasingly popular as a quick and efficient alternative. However, one concern with QR code-based attendance systems is the potential for fraud and misuse. To address this issue, this study proposes generating two QR codes per second to ensure that only the current and legitimate QR code is recognized. The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of this technology on student attendance rates, the accuracy and reliability of attendance data, and the overall user experience for both students and instructors. Through data analysis and surveys, we found that the use of QR codes with the added security measure resulted in increased student attendance rates, improved accuracy and reliability of attendance data, and a positive user experience for both students and instructors. This research provides practical insights for educational institutions considering the implementation of QR code-based attendance systems and contributes to the growing body of literature on the use of QR codes in education.

One of the causes of paralyses is stroke that occurs because of brain blood vessel disorder. Because of it, the patients suffered from stroke must lay most of their time on a bed. Laying too long can pressure a specific area in contact with the surface of the bed leading to decubitus. To prevent this, the nurse changes the patient's sleep position periodically. Most hospital beds have been designed to adjust the position of the patients. However, changing the bed position manually needs extra energy. The study aims to design a tool for hospital bed control using a DC motor controlled by a microcontroller. Nurses, patients and families of the patients can change the position of the bed by using a button connected to the microcontroller. The bed controller circuit uses the button to control the bed position using a dc motor. By using this device, the patients, nurses or caregivers and the patients' family can simply press the button to control the bed position according to the comfort of the patient's sleeping position so as to minimize the occurrence of decubitus
