Learning outside the study program and campus is a learning option for students to improve the quality of graduates who can adapt to the industrial world at the national and international levels. This study aims to analyze the level of awareness and participation of students in the MBKM policy and its impact. The type of research used is a survey with descriptive analysis techniques. The subjects of this research were 11579 university students. The instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of two parts, namely the identity of the respondent and questions about the MBKM policy. The results of this study indicate that the level of student awareness of the MBKM policy is quite high, including the level of student participation. Meanwhile, the response to the impact of the MBKM policy on students was said to be high. This is based on the benefits of the MBKM program such as learning experience, recognition of 20 credits, and improvement of soft skills. Therefore, this MBKM policy has implications for increasing student participation in participating in learning activities outside the study program and campus to support Kemdikbudristek's Main Performance Indicator (IKU) 2. Thus, the findings of this study have several implications. First, the MBKM program will continue to be attended by students with great enthusiasm due to the high student awareness of the MBKM policy. Second, the quality of learning outside the campus will increase because student interest in participating in the MBKM program is quite large. Third, the sustainability of the MBKM program organized by the study program will run well. This is based on the benefits of the MBKM program which is able to provide many skills, cultural knowledge, and adaptability including leadership abilities.

The purpose of this study is to assess students' awareness of mathematics education in light of independent learning-independent campuses (ILIC). The phases of the survey research technique were used to conduct this research, and a questionnaire was used as the instrument for gathering data. All of the students studying mathematics at the private university served as the participants of the study. Winsteps and Rasch's model were used to examine the questionnaire data. The results from the Rasch model's processing are then analyzed based on the researcher's objectives. Findings: According to this study, 60.73 percent of students had a high level of awareness of the ILIC. 7.69 percent of students exhibited a low level of awareness of the ILIC, while 31.58 percent of students were still unaware of its existence. In conclusion, students' awareness of ILIC, which is run by the Republic of Indonesia's Ministry of education, culture, science, and technology, has to be improved.

The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka or Emancipated Learning-Independent Campus, hereinafter called MBKM, was launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology in 2020. In consequence, several higher education institutions may implement the MBKM curriculum. This study attempts to explore EFL students’ expectations towards eight programs of the MBKM. This study utilized qualitative descriptive, and the data were obtained through open-ended questions. Furthermore, 33 students in the sixth semester of the English Language Education Study Program (ELESP) participated as the respondents. The data were analyzed descriptively by describing the students’ expectations towards the MBKM programs in their study program. The findings revealed that they have high expectations for each program of MBKM, for instance, the Internship program provides a real-life experience, and clear job descriptions for students from different majors. The next program, the Teaching Assistance provides students opportunities to teach in the class and improve their teaching skills. Meanwhile, the Research activities enhance students’ critical thinking skills, problem-solving, article publication, and knowledge of research methods. Furthermore, the Humanity project enhances students’ social sensitivity to community issues. The Entrepreneur program facilitates students in the business sector and reduces unemployment in Indonesia. The Independent project enhances students’ innovative ideas and increases students’ bargaining power at both national and international levels. The last program, the Community service facilitates students to identify communities’ problems, and develop the village. The implication of the MBKM curriculum will positively contributed to the successful of the best practice of the aforementioned programs in each higher institution in the near future.
