Abstract:This paper presents the design of antenna for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The performance of conventional antenna is limited by surface waves due to which it produces a low gain. An attempt is made to reduce the surface wave excitations in conventional antennas with the use of integration of Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) cells.
