This research aims to gather information about the implementation of government policies in waste management and its impact on the social life of the community in the city of Ambon. The data collection methods involve in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data is then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing instruments designed to facilitate the reading and understanding of the data. From the research findings and discussions, it can be concluded that the resource aspect, particularly supporting facilities such as waste transport vehicles, appears to be suboptimal. These vehicles are considered insufficient when compared to the volume of waste generated daily. Specifically, the implementation of waste management policies at Pasar Mardika shows a good level of execution effectiveness. However, there are deficiencies in terms of efficiency, especially in the aspect of completion time, which still does not meet expectations. Therefore, an evaluation and improvement of specific aspects, such as resource management, are necessary to enhance the efficiency and success of waste management policy implementation at Pasar Mardika in the city of Ambon, Maluku Province.
