The transformation of archival document storage systems is starting to shift from physical formats that require a lot of space and storage equipment to the electronic or digital realm (often called electronic archives). This is considered to reduce the costs of procuring equipment and storage space. In line with changes in paperless storage patterns, the issue of data security and confidentiality becomes important, so that information from documents to be archived can be maintained and cannot be used by irresponsible people. One technique for securing documents digitally is to use cryptography and the algorithm chosen is Rivest cipher 4. The RC4 (Rivest Chiper 4) algorithm was chosen because the execution speed in file encryption is faster than other algorithms. This article aims to implement the RC4 algorithm into an electronic archive (e-Archieve) application. The application development method uses the waterfall method with 5 stages. The application was built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, as well as the Rivest Cipher 4 cryptographic algorithm. The result of the application development is an electronic archive website. Every file uploaded to the server can be encrypted by the admin. Encrypted files will change to random characters like a virus. The application was tested using black box testing techniques, where all features worked as expected

Kemajuan teknologi akan berjalan sesuai dengan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan yang dimana akan membantu dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaan dengan mudah, cepat dan akurat. Glory Digital Sablon (GDS) merupakan toko yang menyediakan berbagai macam kebutuhan mulai dari mesin dan bahan baku yang berhubungan dengan sablon digital. Sistem penjualan yang ada di GDS masihdilakukan secara manual sedangkan pembuatan nota sendiri sudah menggunakan komputer melalui microsoft excel, sehingga masih memiliki berbagai kekurangan dan kendala yang dihadapi. Maka perlu dibuat sebuah sistem yang bisa menangani secara otomatis, serta belum adanya keamanan untuk mengamankan database transaksi dan database supplier agar tidak disalahgunakan dan dimanipulasi oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Algoritma kriptografi RC4 merupakan jenis stream cipher yang dinilai sangat cepat dalam prosesnya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini penerapan kriptografi dalam pengamanan data transaksi pada GDS menggunakan metode algoritma Rivest Code 4 (RC4) dengan kunci yang bisa di acak berdasarkan panjang kunci, untuk mengamankan data asli (plainteks) yang diinputkan dan data yang disandikan (cipherteks) dapat dikembalikan menjadi data asli seperti semula melalui proses dekripsi dengan kunci yang sama. Sebagaimana pengujian software CrackStation untukmenguji 6 cipherteks, dengan cara menginputkan cipherteks nama supplier menunjukkan bahwa cipherteks 100% tidak dapat dipecahkan. Melalui pengujian performa bahwa panjang kunci 5, 20, 90 karakter dapat mempengaruhi kecepatan dari enkripsi dan dekripsi tetapi dengan selisih waktu yang sangat kecil, sehingga perbedaan panjang kunci tidak mempengaruhi performa dari fungsi enkripsi dan dekripsi secara keseluruhan.
