“…We used PAT to assess endothelial function, which focuses on small resistance vessels to evaluate endothelium-dependent flow mediated dilation. This method which evaluates endothelial cell response to mechanical stress (reactive hyperemia) to test for the presence of impaired endothelial function as a systemic disorder has been evaluated in both adult [23][24][25] and pediatric [26,45] populations.
