Impacts of SLR Ground Station Geographic Distribution on Time‐Variable Gravity Recovery

Abstract: Satellite laser ranging (SLR) continues to be an essential technique for estimating Earth’s low‐degree gravity field. GRACE(‐FO) does not accurately recover certain coefficients, which are needed for quantifying large‐scale mass redistribution as part of Earth’s time‐variable gravity (TVG) field.
