Impacts of external fields and Rashba and Dresselhaus spin–orbit interactions on the optical rectification, second and third harmonic generations of a quantum ring

Abstract: In the present paper, based on matrix diagonalization method and density matrix approach, the optical rectification (OR), second harmonic and third harmonic generations (SHG and THG) of a GaAs quantum ring (QR) were numerically investigated. To do this purpose, dependency of transition energies and geometrical factors on external magnetic, electric fields and inner radius were analyzed in the presence of Rashba (R) and Dresselhaus (D) spin orbit interactions (SOIs). The outcomes obviously indicate that positio… Show more

“…The ORC of GaAs/Al η Ga 1−η As quantum dots with MKCP will be systematically analyzed and discussed in this section, mainly discussing the effects of hydrostatic pressure P, the depth of limiting potential V , 0 temperature T , Al-concentration h and quantum dot radius R. The following are the fixed value and reference values we adopted in the calculation [23][24][25]:…”

“…Spin-orbit coupling in QRs can enable efficient manipulation and control of spin states, which is essential for spin-based electronic devices [10,11]. The effects of spin-orbit interaction (SOI) on the opto-electronic properties of QRs have also been investigated [12][13][14][15].…”
