Abstract: In Matehuala, a regional center of San Luis Potosí located in the northern center of the Mexican Altiplano, landscapes typical of the dry tropics and cultural remains of tourist value are combined with the presence of sporadic and torrential rains, and floods that affect the site. There are few methodological references to spatially differentiate the way in which sites are recovered after a threat occurs.
