For instance, an LTS S having seven terms can be described as follows: S 7 {s 7 0 : none, s 7 1 : very low, s 7 2 : low, s 7 3 : medium, s 7 4 : high, s 7 5 : very high, and s 7 6 : perfect}. If s ε , s k ∈ S, then the LTS meets the following characteristics:…”

“…While statistically significant, the magnitude of the correlation coefficients observed here also emphasizes a decrease in total and elective operative volume across all regions and hospital characteristics studied. Given the different governmental and institutional guidelines on elective surgery, the widespread decreases in operative volume likely reflect the reluctance of patients to seek medical care during the pandemic and the preference of outpatient over in-hospital treatments, as described in an analysis of online patient support group discussions of patient concerns and preferences for urolithiasis care during the COVID-19 pandemic (9).…”

“…During this time period of the pandemic, people in general were less likely to go to the emergency room with renal colic and were more likely to avoid operative intervention. 20 This may have been amplified in post COVID-19 patients. It is likely that non-acute renal stone interventions were avoided among patients with a recent history of COVID-19 due to uncertainties about patient and operating room personnel safety, and due to the provincial operating room procedures.…”
