Impact of separating drug prescribing and dispensing on provider behaviour: Taiwan's experience

Abstract: In many Asian countries, physicians both prescribe and dispense drugs. This practice is hypothesized to have caused high drug expenditure and widespread prescription of antibiotics in Asia.
