“…Each of the articles analyzed presented from one to four prosocial interventions, with the majority of articles (33 publications) presenting one intervention. In eight articles authors presented two interventions (Baumsteiger, 2019; Doescher & Sugawara, 1992; Johnson et al., 2013; Kramer et al., 2014; Mistry et al., 2016; Schonert‐Reichl et al., 2015; Solantaus et al., 2010; Villardón‐Gallego, García‐Carrión, Yáñez‐Marquina, & Estévez, 2018), two articles presented three interventions each (Böckler et al., 2018; Ramaswamy & Bergin, 2009), and one article examined four interventions (Dubow, Huesmann, & Eron, 1987). There was also a case of two articles devoted to the same intervention (Caprara et al., 2014, 2015).…”

“…Self‐instruction (SI) without a physically present trainer was used in one intervention. Individual coaching (IC) was applied in eight interventions, and in two interventions participants received individual training (IT), for example from their parents (Doescher & Sugawara, 1992). In three interventions, other (OTH) formats of treatment were used: the variable lighting system (Wessolowski, Koenig, Schulte‐Markwort, & Barkmann, 2014), school system and procedure change (Bradshaw et al., 2012), and an online application (Mesurado, Distefano, Robiolo, & Richaud, 2019).…”

“…To understand the effects of the program on prosocial behavior, the revised, prosocial behavior questionnaire by Lee (1996) was used. This questionnaire is based on the prosocial behavior questionnaire developed by Weir and Duveen (1981) and the modified prosocial behavior questionnaire by Doescher (1985). This questionnaire used a three-point Likert scale and consisted of a total of 20 questions with four subscales such as helping, sharing, cooperation, and kindness.…”

“…Research which investigated the impact of adult modeling and encouragement in prosocial home-and school-based interventions on preschool children's cooperative behavior discovered that in order to facilitate the development of cooperative parent-child relationships, parents needed some assistance from professional modeling behaviors at home (Doeschar & Sugawara, 1992 (Blair et al, 2011). Implementing all these procedures at home can be difficult.…”
