Abstract:Background
Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a set of symptoms, including insulin resistance, high blood sugar, and abdominal obesity, that increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. This syndrome is prevalent in acute coronary syndrome (ACS), comprising patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
