Mongolia is exposed to an inclement-climate environment due to its specific geographical location and altitude. Such circumstances are challenging, and careful consideration is required in terms of the scheduling of construction works; in particular, a high possibility of productivity loss exists regarding outdoor work. This study presents the key climatic factors that significantly impact on the concreting operation, and the historical climatic data, project-specific questionnaire surveys, and the actual productivity data of previous concreting works are accordingly utilized. This study utilized a total of 343 project-specific productivity data collected from the contractors. The analysis results indicate that low temperatures, high winds and precipitation are the critical factors affecting productivity loss in terms of outdoor concrete work. In addition, the authors suggest the critical-factor threshold values for the prevention of this productivity loss, and for the preparation of an optimum project schedule under the inclement-climate condition.

Bangladeshi construction industry suffers a lot of safety and accidental issues than other developing countries in the world. Among many of these, accident of construction project goes far beyond and shape a horrific figure of death for every year. The aims of this study is that analysis and discussion of causes of accident at construction project in Bangladesh. A widespread statistical data collection and data analysis take place to identify the causes and design the questionnaire. The questionnaire-based survey was used to elicit the attitude of four stakeholders as workers, owners, consultants, and contractors towards passive causes of fatal accident at construction site. These study also identify 77 passive causes under 14 major groups and ranked them based on Relative Importance Index (RII). The top 5 major group of causes are (1) Management related, (2) Consultant related, (3) Technology related, (4) Labour related and (5) Contractor related. The top 5 passive causes are: (1) Unaware of safety-related issue, (2) Lack of personal protective equipment, (3) Lack of safety eliminating/ avoiding design, (4) Unfit equipment, (5) Lack of knowledge and training on equipment.

e vast majority of accidents in construction are generated by unsafe behaviors. Some researches also find that the behaviors could be influenced by the awareness and safety climate. e safety behavior and awareness belong to individual levels, while the safety climate belongs to the organization level. Previous studies mainly focus on the relationships between safety climate, safety awareness, and safety behavior without considering their different respective levels and the interaction between levels. is study establishes a hierarchical linear model (HLM) of safety climate, individual safety awareness, and safety behavior to examine the multilevel relationships between them. Data were collected using questionnaire from workers in different teams on the construction site in China.e results indicate that organizational safety climates affect individual safety behavior and safety awareness. In addition, there is a positive correlation between individual safety awareness and safety behavior, and the safety climates have a positive moderating effect on the relationship between them. e final conclusion offers a path for the current practice of safety management in the construction industry.
