Impact of IPL treatments on parameters of acne skin

Abstract: Background In the treatment of acne, skin parameters such as sebum secretion, hydration, and the content of hemoglobin and melanin are very important. Zdrada et al 33 showed a reduction in sebum production and no significant changes in skin moisture loss, hemoglobin, or melanin levels in 27 patients with moderate‐to‐severe acne treated with four sessions of IPL, with a noteworthy satisfaction rate of 100% of treated patients. Enough to prove that IPL can reduce the number of propionibacterium acnes and the sebum excretion rate, thus exerting an anti‐inflammatory effect and improving skin texture.…”
