Abstract: BackgroundStillbirths are a major global health concern. Half of stillbirths occur during intrapartum period, mostly in low‐ and middle‐income countries of sub‐Saharan Africa and South Asia. Achieving a stillbirth rate of less than 12 per 1000 births by 2030 is the global target of Every Newborn Action Plan and Sustainable Development Goals.
