Impact of grinding coconut shell and agglomeration pressure on quality parameters of briquette

Abstract: Abstract. In Poland, biomass is still considered as the basic source of renewable energy. Energy from biomass accounts for 15 % of global energy consumption, while in developing countries this share is higher. The main advantage of biomass is lower emissions of sulphur dioxide during combustion compared to fossil fuels. The main sources of biomass for production of low-processed solid biofuels, such as bales or chips and high processed pellets or briquettes, are plantations of energy plants. Energy plant speci… Show more

“…An apparent density value was obtained for briquettes produced from the coconut shell of 0.98 g.cm -3 , where these results referred to the literature data show that the briquettes produced have a relatively good density, which is important in the logistic aspect (Dziedzic et al, 2018). In general, there is a tendency to increase the apparent density with the increase of the epicarp percentage in the composition of the briquettes particles.…”

“…Then the second member in (14) can be ignored and finally get the formula for the relative speed of the seedling. (15) We use (15) in order to obtain an equation that groups together the dynamic coefficient of vibro-viscosity and physics and mechanics characteristics of the cuttings. Then we apply the equivalence principle of pulse resistance forces to cutting movement in different mediums [10].…”

“…Improving efficiency is key to both creating competitive prices and making better use of suitable land. Improvement may include identification of fast-growing plants, successful reproduction and use of crop combinations, new knowledge of plant cultivation and biotechnology, which may increase plant productivity by 5-10 times compared to their natural capabilities [7][8][9][10].…”
