Impact of Global Warming on China’s Agricultural Production

Abstract: Global warming has had an important impact on China’s agricultural production, especially the intensified uneven distribution of water and heat resources and the increased frequency of extreme weather, resulting in a significant increase in the risk of agricultural production. Alleviating a series of negative effects of climate warming on agricultural production has always been the focus of governments and scholars, and it is also the basis of realizing agricultural sustainable development. “…Five categories, agricultural illnesses and vermin, agricultural management, agricultural ecosystem, and possible agricultural production, are used in study conducted by, Liu (2022) to outline the influence of change in climate on agricultural output of China. Based on the study, the pressing issues facing agricultural output of China, are highlighted, and countermeasures to mitigate effects of change in climate stay proposed within the light of perspectives of policy, technology, scientific investigation, as well as collaboration.…”

“…Each of these elements affects a nation's ability to grow economically. (Fang, 2023;Li, 2023), Economic growth can be changed due to changes in nature in other words climate changes can affect the process of growth, in any economy's consumption and production (Liu, 2022).…”

“…The rising air temperatures and irregular patterns of rainfall distribution present a challenge to both water availability and crop productivity in the 21st century (Shayanmehr et al, 2022;Wang et al, 2019;Wu et al, 2017;Zhang et al, 2021). Climate change, characterized by increasing air temperatures, is one of the consequences of global warming (Mo et al, 2017) and tends to present a serious challenge to the ecosystem, economic conditions, and quality of life for people in the twenty-first century (Liu, 2022;Sha et al, 2019). The elevated air temperature would reduce the growth period and a decline in grain yield (Ding et al, 2022).…”

“…The impact of global warming on agricultural production in China has been significant, primarily due to the worsened disparity in the availability of water resources and temperature variations (Hilemelekot et al, 2021). Additionally, the increased occurrence of extreme weather events poses a significant risk to crop production (Liu, 2022). Since the 1950s, the North China Plain has experienced substantial effects on its agricultural production due to changes in climate, specifically due to the limited availability of water resources (Mo et al, 2017).…”
