Impact of Executive Order 13211 on environmental regulation: An empirical study

Abstract: We examined the impact of Executive Order 13211 on US environmental and conservation regulations. EO 13211 had little effect on environmental and conservation actions during federal rulemaking. Most agencies found no "significant energy action" and no need for detailed regulatory review.
