PurposeThe sharing economy, supported by digital platforms, efficiently matches the demand and supply of underused resources. Expanding globally and impacting different industries is offering a new path to sustainable resource consumption. The United Nations endorsed the sustainable development goals (SDGs), responding to a global call to end poverty, protect the environment and ensure that by 2030, everyone lives in peace and prosperity. Researchers have linked the sharing economy with SGDs, and extensive efforts have been exerted to quantify its impact.Design/methodology/approachDue to its evolving nature, especially in developing countries, there is a need for research to assess its promises and challenges from the SDG perspective. This research fills in this gap and contributes to the sharing economy studies by exploring its evolution within the framework of sustainable development goals, followed by an assessment of various methodologies for measuring the sharing economy and highlighting the significance of the web mining technique.FindingsThe proper implementation of this decentralized business model within a country is encouraging optimal resource use, lowering energy consumption and increasing long-term economic development. The sharing economy is a disruptive force that addresses the pillars of sustainability.Originality/valueThe research holds importance in addressing the achievement of the SDGs through the sharing economy, necessitating focus from policymakers and scholarly discourse on its merits. The transformative impact of the sharing economy poses questions about its encouragement or regulation, with the potential to disrupt established monopolies and possibly create new ones. Its successful implementation underscores the significance of effective data sharing and governance.

Sustainable economic development is a process that balances the recovery of economic growth by considering the environmental and social impacts of society in improving the economy. It is one of the practical tools for strategic adaptation to achieve economic and environmental sustainability. This encourages entrepreneurs to create businesses that use skills and initiative to meet needs and bring new ideas. Understanding these opportunities has brought the resulting products to the attention of the market. To support this, a strategy that can be implemented is digital marketing. This is important for business continuity and reaching the community or even getting customers. This research aims to determine and analyze entrepreneurship and digital marketing towards sustainable economic development. Quantitative methods are used, especially questionnaires. The results of a sample of 30 respondents show that entrepreneurship has no effect on sustainable economic development, but is positive and not significant. Meanwhile, digital marketing has a positive and significant influence on sustainable economic development.Keywords: Business, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Economic Development

The economic impact of resource investments into higher education has been the focus of considerable research in recent years. Many contributions analyse the strength of the connection between economic development and higher education at the local level and the conditions which make certain systems more effective and efficient than others. In this paper, we provide a systematic bibliometric review of the available literature on the subject, various dimensions of this complex issue, constructing and analysing a map of variables used by selected researchers in the field. A summary of knowledge gaps, research limitations, topics explored and applied methods is provided to envisage future research in this field.
