PurposeThis study aims to investigate the role of e-service quality and e-trust for achieving e-loyalty among digital library users in the digital economy. The current study examined the mediation effect of e-trust in the connection between e-service quality and e-loyalty.Design/methodology/approachCross-sectional design was applied for the purpose of data collection and empirical findings of the study. Survey method was used for the purpose of data collection from 783 online digital libraries users.FindingsResults reveal that e-service quality positively predicts e-trust in digital economy. Moreover, in digital economy e-trust predicts the e-loyalty. The findings also reveal that e-trust mediates the relationship between e-service quality and e-loyalty links.Originality/valueThe finding of study suggested that individual level e-trust have a strong effect on e-loyalty in digital economy. Individual level aspects in term of e-service quality have a direct effect on e-trust to improve their e-loyalty. The finding indicated that digital libraries users in future will be more loyal toward e-service quality providers. The results are useful for the management of digital libraries and academia for future. This is the first study that includes e-service quality, e-trust and e-loyalty in the context of digital economy.

The study appraised the power supply and industrialization in Enugu State, Nigeria. The specific objectives of the study were to: examine the effect of power supply on the operational costs of industries, determine the effect of power supply on the productivity of industries and examine the effect of power supply on the competitiveness of industries in Enugu State, Nigeria. This study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The study employed secondary and primary sources of data. The population of the study was 2,299. Taro Yamani formula was used to determine the sample size of 341. The collected data was analyzed through the use of mean score. The Chi-square- test analysis technique was applied in testing the hypotheses. The findings revealed that Power supply has a significant negative effect on operational costs of industries in Enugu State, Nigeria (this is where (2cal = 357.230, p = 0.000), that Power supply has a significant negative effect on the productivity of industries in Enugu State, Nigeria (this is where (2cal = 258.945, p = 0.000) and that power supply had a significant negative effect on competitiveness of industries in Enugu State, Nigeria (this is where (2cal = 258.945, p = 0.000),. The study recommended that Government should invest in robust power infrastructure, incentivize renewable energy adoption, while firms should explore energy-efficient technologies, engage in cost-sharing initiatives, and invest in backup systems for uninterrupted production.

Cost efficiency is very important in this new age since profitability continue to shrink and new business is becoming almost impossible. Therefore, this study is to examine impact of cost efficiency on financial performance of Nigeria deposit money banks. The specific objectives of the study were to; (i) test the effects of efficiency in Fueling and maintenance costs on the performance of Nigerian deposit money banks; (ii) to examine the impact of efficiency in General Administrative expenses on the Performance of Nigerian deposit money banks. Secondary data were collected from annual financial statements of the selected banks. Fixed-effect and random-effect regression analysis method were used to analyze the data from a sample of 13 listed Nigerian deposit money banks covering period of 2010 to 2019. The results showed that cost efficiency have significant impact on financial performance of Nigerian deposit money banks. Implying that bank managements tend to increase profitability by increasing power-running cost efficiency, and by reducing general administrative cost efficiency. The study recommends that; Bank management need to tap into alternative source of energy and holistic approach to monitor wastages and theft of fuel to reduce power running cost for performance increasement. The board of directors should ensure that good business administration is their focus, by employing efficient control on administrative expenses to improve bank performance.
