Impact of distributed generation on steady state of electrical networks

Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to study the influence of dispersed generation upon the steady state of distribution networks, especially upon the voltage level, active power losses and branch currents flow. Power flow calculation of electrical distribution networks with and without distributed generation was realized in MATLAB environment, based on backward-forward sweep. The tests were performed on a arborescent network with eleven nodes. The results of the proposed method were verified using NEPLAN soft… Show more

“…The DGs are widely used due to their advantages of green environmental protection, flexible operation, and diversity of energy utilization. However, with the highpermeability distributed generation access to the distribution network, the safe operation of the system will be challenged [1][2][3][4], such as: voltage fluctuation, power backward. In order to solve these problems, many literatures have been deeply studied.…”
