Impact of Canal Restructuring on Agricultural Land Use in 23 Down Haidergarh Canal Command System, Uttar Pradesh, India

Abstract: The 23 Down Haidergarh Canal command system of Uttar Pradesh is situated in Indo-Gangetic Plain of India. It has huge potential of crop productivity. The canal system was unlined; due to which a huge amount of water waste as seepage, which results, waterlogging and sodic land development. This leads reduction in the productivity of crop land.
