User satisfaction is essential for the success of an organisation. With the development of government service delivery through mobile platforms, a compatible measurement model must be found to measure user satisfaction with performing such services through a mobile government portal. Measuring user satisfaction with mobile government services is necessary nowadays due to the increasing popularity of smart devices. Research on mGovernment users’ satisfaction is lacking, leading to difficulties in understanding users’ expectations. In the present study, systematic literature reviews have been used to analyze users’ satisfaction with mGovernment portals and propose a comprehensive model compatible with such contexts. The results show that government agencies can evaluate users’ satisfaction using the proposed model of six quality constructs: usability, interaction, consistency, information, accessibility, and privacy and security. The study recommends improving the evaluation strategies of mGovernment portals regularly to ensure they fit with challenges. Measuring user satisfaction at mGovernment services encourages the user to perform the transactions through such online platforms, increasing the digitalization process and reducing the cost and efforts for both the service provider and end-users.

Hash collisions and redirection of loads are major limitations for recent Hash IP algorithms. To overcome this, we propose a new Hash IP algorithm dubbed HDW in network load balancing (NLB) to increase network’s efficiency, availability and scalability. We achieve the new Hash IP load balancing algorithm via a constructive merger with weighted scheduler (WS) technique and dynamic switching of routing path (DSP). This helps to reduce delays, jitters and additionally assures some level of security owing to the hashing process. Our findings after comprehensive simulations and performance evaluation depicts that our proposed HDW algorithm is relatively efficient as against other related load balancing algorithms for software defined network.

Compared with the classical structure with only one controller in software-defined networking (SDN), multi-controller topology structure in SDN provides a new type of cross-domain forwarding network architecture with multiple centralized controllers and distributed forwarding devices. However, when the network includes multiple domains, lack of trust among the controllers remains a challenge how to verify the correctness of cross-domain forwarding behaviors in different domains. In this paper, we propose a novel secure multi-controller rule enforcement verification (BlockREV) mechanism in SDN to guarantee the correctness of cross-domain forwarding. We first adopt blockchain technology to provide the immutability and privacy protection for forwarding behaviors. Furthermore, we present an address-based aggregate signature scheme with appropriate cryptographic primitives, which is provably secure in the random oracle model. Moreover, we design a verification algorithm based on hash values of forwarding paths to check the consistency of forwarding order. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that the proposed BlockREV mechanism is effective and suitable for multi-controller scenarios in SDN.
