Abstract:Waste ceramic tile (CT) powders are used to improve the workability, mechanical properties, and durability of self-compacting concrete (SCC). The waste CT powder is prepared by mixing construction tiles, sanitary fittings, and electrical insulators, with different weight percentages mixed into the SCC. Experiments have been conducted to evaluate the workability, mechanical, and durability of SCC. The optimum compressive, flexural, and tensile strengths were predicted to be 52.5 MPa, 8.5 MPa, and 7.8 MPa. SCC's… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
