Impact Analysis of Bus Stations' Distribution on Bus Operation in Jiujiang City

Abstract

The bus station is an important infrastructure of public transportation. According to the norms of bus station distribution, the practical situation of present bus station distribution and the data of transit operation in Jiujiang, this paper has analyzed the problems on the distribution, volume, space and other facilities of bus stations which can't meet the demand of actual operation situation, and resulted in lower efficiency and higher cost. Several proposals for new planning of bus stations' distribution are put forward. The suburb-urban transit network needs to be set up based on bus center, Shili Building stop and Haihui stop. So it can fulfill its functions to coordinate with the relationship among the end-first bus stations to form a multi-level and cross-order net. It can also achieve the functions to guide a scientific arrangement of bus stops, and to meet the passengers' needs of taking and transforming.
