Abstract: Tuberculous pleurisy (TP) is one of the most common forms of extrapulmonary tuberculosis, but its diagnosis is challenging. Lipoarabinomannan (LAM) antigen is a biomarker for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) infection. LAM detection has potential as an auxiliary diagnostic method for TP.
