Abstract:We graft carbonic anhydrase (CA) efficiently onto modified polyethersulfone (PES) membranes with good blood compatibility and maintain the catalytic activity of CA for HCO3− to CO2 conversion, which is exactly what the membrane of artificial lungs need.
