“…[12] Nowadays, one of the modifications of the conventional treatment protocol used for rehabilitation purpose is the immediate loading of implants. [345] Large amount of bone-to-implant contact percentage has been observed by histological and histomorphometrical evaluation in the immediate implants recovered from humans. [67] Success of any implant procedure is determined by procedure-related and patient-dependent measures taken by the clinician and surgeon.…”

“…However, most of the studies published on immediate loading in the mandible have examined mature bone in edentulous patients 5,8,17,20,21,22 . As only a few studies, with a limited number of patients 6,7,23 , have described immediate loading of postextractive immediate implants, no definitive evidence has yet been provided on survival rate.…”

“…However, most of the studies published on immediate loading in the mandible have examined mature bone in edentulous patients 5,8,17,20,21,22 . As only a few studies, with a limited number of patients 6,7,23 , have described immediate loading of postextractive immediate implants, no definitive evidence has yet been provided on survival rate.Among these studies, Peñarrocha 23 reported a 100% survival rate in eleven patients treated with immediate full-arch implants. Only two randomized controlled clinical trials compared immediate versus delayed implants 24,25 : when prosthesis and implant failures were analyzed no statistical significant difference was found between the two types of implant loading.…”

“…The mandible (particularly in the interforaminal region) has a better bone quality compared to the maxilla and this is probably the reason why reports are available regarding IL in the anterior part of the mandible with high survival rates. 5,11 A histological study 7 based on animal models, reported comparable bone quality values around implants placed in the posterior regions of mandible, following delayed as well as IL protocols. In a human split mouth designed study 24 it has been concluded a high success rate (100%) of immediately loaded implants in a similar way like delayed loaded implants.…”
