Imaging Velocity Fields Analysis of Space Camera for Dynamic Circular Scanning

Abstract: Compared with traditional push-broom imaging, the space camera that performs the new circular scanning imaging can effectively enlarge the imaging area and obtain high-resolution images. However, the imaging velocity fields of space camera will seriously deteriorate the image quality in the circular scanning imaging process. And the velocity fields are anisotropically distributed due to various factors, including attitude maneuvering, satellite precession, earth curvature, and earth rotation. Therefore, this p… Show more

“…However, none of them considered the IMV resulting from the satellite attitude maneuver. Therefore, Xu et al [15] proposed a mathematical model of the IMV field to analyze the effect of circular scanning imaging. So far, all of the aforementioned methods overlooked the fact that Earth is an ellipsoid.…”

“…Wang et al gave an image motion velocity vector calculation model through the coordinate transformation method [17], which is widely used in optical remote sensing due to its accuracy. Other methods under study include ray tracing method [18], [19] and optical flow method [20], [21]. The ray tracing method analyzes the point-to-point image motion at any position on the image plane and we draw on the idea.…”

“…Aerospace optical payloads can realize detailed or rough imaging of the earth's scenery without national boundaries in space, thereby performing overall situational awareness in a large area or the identification of fine targets between ground objects, which plays an important role in national economic construction and national defense [1]- [3].Limited by the constraints between the aperture and focal length of the traditional optical system, the space-based optical payload cannot achieve high resolution and large-width imaging at the same time in the traditional push-broom imaging mode link [4]- [6]. In recent years, scholars have successively proposed space-based optical system swing mirror scanning technology and push-frame imaging technology to solve the constraints between the aperture and focal length of the academic system [7]- [9], which makes high-resolution and large-format imaging technology possible.…”
