Radiopharmaceuticals contain radionuclides and pharmaceuticals. Research on radiopharmaceuticals has been increasing in recent years by increasing the importance of early diagnosis in diseases. It is generally accepted that investigation and development of new radiopharmaceuticals are time and resource consuming. Computational methods have provided exciting contributions to pharmaceutical research and development. The need for designing new radiopharmaceutical drugs enhances the importance of computational programs. At this point, the structure, chemical, physical and physicochemical properties of molecules should be predicted/evaluated by using computational methods. While these methods obtain useful estimates, they make it easier for researchers and clinicians to make the right choices. Also, by providing accurate and effective results, they contribute to reduce the cost of research and can be used to simulate complex biochemical situations before research helping us to avoid harmful effects of drugs. In this study, authors emphasis about radiopharmaceuticals and the computational tools related to the development of new radiopharmaceuticals.

Özet Endikasyon dışı ilaç kullanımı, günümüzde ilaçla tedavide kullanımı gittikçe yaygınlaşan uygulamalardan biridir. Ruhsat dışı ilaç kullanımı olarak da ifade edilen endikasyon dışı ilaç kullanımı kısaca, ilacın, ruhsatında belirtilen kullanım alanları ve/veya kullanım şartları (doz, süre gibi) dışında kullanılması olarak tanımlanabilir. Özellikle çocuk ilaçlarında oldukça yaygın olan endikasyon dışı ilaç kullanımının başlıca nedenleri, çocuklar üzerinde klinik ilaç araştırmaları yapılabilmesi için aranan sıkı şartlar ve ilaç üreticisinin yeni ruhsat çalışmaları için gereken masrafları üstlenmek istememesidir. Kuşkusuz bu tür bir kullanım, birçok faydası olmakla birlikte, ciddi riskleri de beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu nedenle, endikasyon dışı ilaç kullanımından doğan zararlardan hukuki sorumluluğu ne zaman ve hangi şartlar altında hekimin ve/veya ilaç üreticisinin taşıyacağının belirlenmesi büyük önem arz eder. Bu çalışmada; öncelikle endikasyon dışı ilaç kullanımı kavramı açıklandıktan sonra, ilaç üreticisinin sorumluluğunun hukuki dayanağına ilişkin olarak doktrinde ileri sürülen çeşitli görüşler ışığında endikasyon dışı ilaç kullanımından ilaç üreticisinin sorumluluğu ile hekimin sorumluluğu, sorumlulukların hukuki niteliği ve kapsamı bakımından karşılaştırmalı olarak ortaya konulacaktır.

A design of experiment (DoE) study is presented based on an investigation of the influences of the chosen geometric parameters of an Inverted Square Split Ring Resonator on its resonance frequency. A statistical software was used to determine DoE steps and the values of chosen geometrical parameters for the experiments. The determined experiments were carried out by making simulations with electromagnetic design software. The resonator simulation outputs were analyzed by using normality tests and tools of the statistical software. By using these analyses, mainly a 2-level full factorial DoE approach, the effects of the geometrical parameters (input factors), and their interactions on the resonance frequency (response factor) were presented. In the light of our findings, this study proposes a promising path for microwave studies with several advantages such as being able to understand the dynamics of an optimized RF resonator device system, designing these kinds of devices with a few experiments, and increasing the time efficiency via reducing the number of attempts.
