Abstract:Homeostatic tissue maintenance requires coordinated regulation of metabolic processes including macroautophagy/autophagy. Autophagy dysregulation underlies numerous human diseases. Our prior work revealed that the RNA binding protein IGF2BP1/IMP1 binds transcripts encoding autophagy-related proteins.
