Abstract:Este artigo tem por objetivo indicar e comentar, na tragédia Ifigênia em Áulida, de Eurípides, a recepção da Ilíada de Homero e do Agamêmnon, de Ésquilo, de modo que, como procuraremos demonstrar, essa tragédia euripidiana se articula no entrecruzamento de uma tradição homérica, sobretudo iliádica – silenciosa a respeito do sacrifício da filha de Agamêmnon – e uma herança da tragédia esquiliana, em que não apenas se narra o sacrifício de Ifigênia, mas também se evidenciam suas amargas consequências.
