Abstract:We present an accelerated and hardware parallelized integral-equation solver for the problem of acoustic scattering by a two-dimensional surface in three-dimensional space. The approach is based, in part, on the novel Interpolated Factored Green Function acceleration method (IFGF) that, without recourse to the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), evaluates the action of Green function-based integral operators for an N -point surface discretization at a complexity of O(N log N ) operations instead of the O(N 2 ) cost … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
