Achievement of a vocational identity is an important developmental task for individuals entering adulthood. The present study examined relationships between vocational identity statuses and time perspective in a sample of 165 emerging adults. Results of a canonical correlation analysis identified 2 interpretable variates. The 1st variate indicated that diffuse vocational identity status is associated with negative views of the past and lower orientation toward the future. The 2nd variate indicated that achieved vocational identity is associated with a largely hedonic view of the present, along with being mindful and less inclined to be fatalistic. These results suggest that differing views on time perspective accounts for some of the variation in different vocational identity statuses. Interventions based on time perspective may prove useful in helping individuals attain an achieved vocational identity. Future research should examine how time perspective relates to vocational identity status in individuals at later stages of career development.

The primary aim of this research was to provide evidence about how adolescents’self-reported parent/peer attachment and time perspective relate to their satisfaction with life. A sample of 1211 adolescents completed self-report measures assessing life satisfaction, time perspective, and the perceived quality of parent and peer attachment. Results showed statistically significant relationships among these variables. Boys resulted higher scored than girls in parent trust and satisfaction with life. Girls resulted higher scored than boys in parent alienation, peer communication, and negative past. Parent and peer attachment predicted satisfaction with life, although the variance explained by peer attachment was low. Negative Past, Hedonistic Present, and Future were signiEcantly associated with satisfaction with life in the expected directions. Abstract. Context has been identified as an important factor of identity formation among adolescents. The aim of this study was to understand adolescent identity formation component in Indonesian context especially in Yogyakarta, considering gender differences, age groups, and correlation between components as well. This study involved 450 Indonesian adolescents aged 12-21 years (225 boys and 225 girls) that constituted of early, middle, and late adolescents. This study used Identity Style Inventory to assess identity style (informational, normative, and diffuse-avoidant), Utrecht-Management of Identity Commitments Scale to assess the identity dimensions (commitment, in-depth exploration, and reconsideration of commitment), and Ego Identity Process Questionnaire to assess identity status (diffusion, foreclosure, moratorium, and achievement). Results showed there were significant differences in identity styles, dimensions, and statuses by considering gender and age groups. The correlation between adolescent's identity styles, dimensions, and statuses was also found in the Indonesian context. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami komponen pembentukan identitas remaja pada konteks Indonesia khususnya di Yogyakarta, terutama terkait perbedaan gender dan kelompok usia serta keterkaitan antar komponen pembentukan identitas. Partisipan penelitian adalah 450 (225 laki-laki dan 225 perempuan) remaja Indonesia berusia 12-21 tahun yang terdiri dari remaja awal, tengah, dan akhir. Alat ukur Identity Style Inventory, Utrecht-Management of Identity Commitments Scale, dan Ego Identity Process Questionnaire digunakan untuk mengukur gaya identitas (informatif, normatif, dan menunda-menghindar), dimensi identitas (komitmen, eksplorasi mendalam, dan peninjauan kembali komitmen), dan status identitas (diffusion, foreclosure, moratorium, dan achievement). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan gaya, dimensi, dan status identitas ditinjau dari gender dan kelompok usia.
