“…Among the two scoring system, the most frequently used for both generic and disease‐specific measures. The MLHFQ subscales screening for physical dimension and emotional dimension to give more specific information about a special group and reveals more sensitive results (Behlouli et al, ; Bilbao, Escobar, García‐Perez, Navarro, & Quirós, ). The other instrument is the SF‐36, which is the generic measure of QOL and gives validated, reliable and multidimensional results.…”

“…This relationship was significant both in categorical and quantitative terms. Reclassification of patients regarding quality of life [25] during the 6 month follow-up was associated with respective changes in CITP levels. Conversely, significant changes in CITP levels with regard to analytic variation of the measure (SD/2) were seen in line with similar significant changes in MLHFQ score.…”

“…For perspective, a 5-unit difference was associated with a moderate clinical change [22,43]. Our MLHFQ scores viewed either from a categorical (categories of \ 24, 24-45 and [ 45 scores [25]) or a quantitative (5-unit changes [22,43]) point could be associated with at least moderate changes in clinical status.…”

“…16 We defined a MLHFQ-score >40 to be an indicator for poor QoL as this cut-off includes the patients that scores in the upper quartile of the moderate QoL category. 17 Clinical examination, blood tests and medications The specialised nurses examined the patients at all visits. The clinical examinations included ECG (sinus rhythm or not), measurement of the blood pressure (mm Hg), heart rate (beats/min) and weight (to nearest 0.5 kg).…”
