Identifying Critical Risk Factors in Green Product Certification Using Hybrid Multiple-Criteria Decision-Making

Abstract: Green product certification (GPC) is an important means of eliminating the asymmetry of information between consumers and manufacturers in the context of sustainable development. This study examined the critical risk factors in GPC and provided relevant suggestions for managers to reduce risk and ensure the correctness of the process. First, 18 risk factors were summarized along four dimensions: the certification institution, the entrusting enterprise, the certification business, and the implementation of the … Show more

“…If the experts did not agree after the second round, the researchers conducted a third round of questionnaires until a consensus was reached. A value of 0.2 was taken as the threshold of the CDI; if the latter exceeded 0.2, this indicated a significant divergence in the experts' opinions, and a further round of expert scoring was required until all the CDI values were lower than 0.2 (Zhang et al, 2022). The procedures involved in the Delphi technique are briefly illustrated in Figure 2.…”

“…Zhang et al (2022) used DEMATAL-ANP to identify and analyze risk factors in green product certification. They used ANP for calculating the weight and DEMATAL to analyze causal relationships among the risk factors [51]. Lu and Wudhikarn (2022) used the MCDM method to develop an integrated model to identify intellectual capital performance indicators.…”
